Getting into the state of focus and emptiness of the brain is sometimes hard in modern times of doomscrolling. I love this art project of Marina Abramoivc, where she invites participants to just counts grains of rice:
There are other ways of calming down your thoughts, like zen-doodling. Drawing little bricks on a sheet of paper, starting on the left corner. Slowly letting go of all thoughts. Do you have other ways of calming down? –> When you draw a Zendoodle, you’re creating a work of art, but you’re also deliberately creating a mood, focus, and state of mind. (Source)
